Each year the Council must, by law, make its accounting records available for inspection and copying by any person interested. The records must be made available for a period of 30 working days. The Council must also publish its annual governance statement and accounting statements, both of which form part of the Council's Annual Return.
The accounting records for the year ended 31st March 2017 will be made available for inspection for the period from 5th June 2017 to 14th July 2017 inclusive. A formal notice of the public rights of inspection, and a summary of those rights, can be found here.
The Council's annual governance statement and accounting statements for the year ended 31st March 2017 can be found here. Both documents have yet to be reviewed by the Council's external auditors and are therefore subject to change. The full audited Annual Return will be published when the auditors have completed their work.
