Chailey Common - Grazing Animals

You may have noticed that there haven’t been any ponies on Red House Common this year.

The reason for this is that sadly the ponies weren’t available to us this year as they are in high demand and Sussex Pony Grazing Conservation Trust has been going through some changes. The Longhorn cattle that were on the Combined Commons are about to move on Red House Common in the week commencing 30th September 2019. The signs are up and I’ve been busy patching up gates and fences - please keep an eye out for the cattle and do let Kevin (07791 784415) or Carole Uridge of Townings farm know if you see any cattle where they shouldn’t be! Updates about grazing can be found at the Facebook page ‘Chailey Common, Grazing Animals’. Any queries please let me know.
